This morning Horse Sport Ireland announced the FEI World Equestrian Games Irish Eventing Squad. The games take place in Tryon, North Carolina, USA, beginning on September the 11th.
The Irish eventing squad is named up of five top Irish eventers,two of which are proudly part of #TeamHorseware. Meath’s Sarah Ennis with Horseware Stellor Rebound and Carlow’s Sam Watson With Horseware Ardagh Highlight.
The eventing competition will begin on the 13th of September with Dressage taking place over the 13th and 14th, Cross Country on the 15th and finishing with Show jumping on the 16th.
“It is very exciting to be travelling with a squad that has achieved competitive individual performances at four-star and Championship level. Our job is to progress this into a competitive team result and a qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Our Eventing squads have consistently produced top class results at a broad range of three and four-star Internationals this spring, including a podium finish in the Nations Cup at Houghton Hall, and three riders finishing in the top 10 at four-star level.”

Excitement is building and the countdown towards the games is on.
